Abi Tumber

Prior to joining the Møller Institute, Abi worked as a qualified teacher implementing new strategies and approaches across schools.  Alongside extensive experience within family support projects, her experience expands across the voluntary, public and corporate sectors.

Since joining the Møller Institute, Abi has designed and delivered customised programmes including the British Council, Future Leaders Connect. The programme is on its third iteration offering leadership and communicative skills to enable 50 emerging policy leaders, from 13 different countries, to respond to global change through effective policy making. Through the programme participants develop their own leadership competency frameworks based on their own country contexts.

Other experience includes the design and delivery of the Institute’s flagship senior leadership development programme, the Explorer Mindset. The first cohort consisting of 18 participants across a variety of sectors including, healthcare, aerospace, technology, Ministry of Defence, finance and media.

Abi graduated with a first class Bachelor of Education with Qualified Teacher Status and was subsequently offered an academic scholarship to continue her professional development. She has since achieved a Masters in Education covering areas including Coaching and Mentoring, Managing  Teaching and Learning and Teacher Wellbeing. Abi is now undertaking a Doctorate in Education at University College London, Institute of Education and is contributing to UCL research on mental health and wellbeing provision for pupils in the UK.
