Dr. Stelios Zyglidopoulos

Associate

Dr. Stelios Zyglidopoulos is Professor of Corporate Social Responsibility at Kedge Business School, in Marseille, France and Associate Fellow of Homerton College, University of Cambridge. He holds a PhD in Strategy and Organization from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He is Section Editor for the Journal of Business Ethics and Associate Editor for the Journal of Management Inquiry.

Professional experience

Prior to his current position, Dr. Zyglidopoulos has held academic positions at the Adam Smith Business School of the University of Glasgow, Cambridge Judge Business School, Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, USA and Erasmus University, the Netherlands. His research interests include the relationship between Ancient Greek Philosophy and Management Studies, Corruption in Organizations, the study of Corporate Social Responsibility and its role in International Diversification and Stakeholder Management.

Dr. Zyglidopoulos has extensive executive education experience and has taught executive programs for many multinational corporations and public sector organizations, including: Barclays, Bayer, Siemens, Shell, ARM, Lion’s Club International, Ofcom, DHL, ING, UBS, AWG, Louis Group, Beijing Capital Land, Kuala Lumpur Education City, IBS Moscow, Razak School of Government, Judge Business School Executive Education Limited (JBSEEL), Cambridge Program for Sustainability Leadership (CPSL), Cyprus Institute of Marketing, Academic Program Director for the JBSEEL-IBS Moscow Program (October 2013), Academic Program Director for the JBSEEL-Jaguar Land Rover China Program (October 2013), and Academic Program Director for the JBSEEL-Razak Senior Leadership Program: Policy Leadership and Strategic Change (June 2014).

Stelios’ latest book (published August 2018) looks at Stakeholder Theory – Concepts and Strategies. Overview – “The stakeholder perspective is an alternative way of understanding how companies and people create value and trade with each other. Freeman, Harrison and Zyglidopoulos discuss the foundation concepts and implementation of stakeholder management as well as the advantages this approach provides to firms and their managers. They present a number of tools that managers can use to implement stakeholder thinking, better understand stakeholders and create value with and for them. The Element concludes by discussing how managers can create stakeholder oriented control systems and by examining some of the important stakeholder-related issues that are worthy of future scholarly and managerial attention.”
