Laura joined Møller Institute in 1997 and has held a number of senior operational roles, including that of Deputy General Manager, before re training and setting up the HR function in 2009. She has been a member of the Senior Management team since 1998.
Reporting to the Managing Director, Laura is responsible for designing and delivering the strategic HR initiatives in the annual business plan. This involves supporting teams across the business with staff engagement, recruitment, induction, training, development, performance management, policies and processes, employee relations, leadership and coaching.
Laura holds a CIPD Advanced Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Human Resource Management, and CIPD Advanced Level Certificate in Human Resources. In addition to this she is also a qualified mental health first aid practitioner, and an accredited business coach.
Some highlights during Laura’s time at the Møller Institute include achieving a two star status as part of the Best Companies process; achieving the highest score in the UK for our Hospitality Assured Accreditation, and, completing a 50km walk with the Senior Management Team, raising over £10,000 for Alzheimer’s Society.
