Introducing the Møller Institute Quality of Leadership Survey

Leadership shapes the world we live in – it drives success, impacts lives, and defines the journeys of those who follow. But how often do we truly reflect on the experience of those who are led? The Møller Institute is proud to announce the launch of the Quality of Leadership Survey, a groundbreaking initiative that shifts the focus toward understanding leadership through the eyes of the follower.

Through this global, cross-sector survey, we aim to explore the perceptions of leadership quality. By analysing these insights, we hope to identify the strengths and challenges of leadership practices today, offering invaluable knowledge to support the development of better leaders for tomorrow.

Why This Matters

While much has been said about leadership styles and approaches, less attention has been given to the lived experience of those being led. This survey places the follower’s perspective at the heart of our investigation. After all, leadership is a relational practice – its true measure lies in how effectively it impacts those it serves.

The survey will explore key questions such as:

  • How do followers perceive the quality of their leadership, both directly and indirectly?
  • What do followers identify as leadership strengths and areas for improvement?
  • How do perceptions vary across different industries, roles, and demographics?

Our Objectives:

The survey strives to:

How It Works

The survey consists of a carefully designed questionnaire that blends quantitative measures with open-ended responses. Responses will be analysed to uncover trends, correlations, and actionable insights – all while ensuring complete anonymity and confidentiality.
