Langley Sharp MBE will be joining our team as the new associate.

He has 23 years of service in the British Army as an officer in the Parachute Regiment and former Commanding Officer of a Parachute Regiment battalion.

Former head of the Centre for Army Leadership, he was responsible for championing leadership excellence across the British Army.

Having himself graduated from Sandhurst two decades ago, his career in the Parachute Regiment, which included operational command at every rank, saw him deployed to Northern Ireland, Macedonia, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Among his many varied roles, he led a counter-insurgency Task Force operation, commanded a Parachute Regiment Battalion and delivered the Ministry of Defence’s training programme for the London 2012 Olympics venue security, for which he was awarded an MBE.

His key areas of expertise are leadership, military command, strategy, operations, and high performance.

Langley Sharp is the founder and director of the consultancy firm, Frontier Leadership.

“As the former Head of the Centre for Army Leadership, author of the British Army’s official book (The Habit of Excellence: Why British Army Leadership Works) on leadership and former Commanding Officer of a Parachute Regiment Battalion, I hope to offer an informed and somewhat unique perspective on leadership and high performance from an institution often referred to for its leadership legacy”, said Sharp.
